MOTO G5S AND G5S PLUS LAUNCHED


Finally Motorola launched its new set of smartphones Moto G5S and G5S plus which were tipped a few months ago in US.These smartphones are a upgrade to the previous smartphones.We have brought you what are the differences between them and if there is any need to upgrade from previously launched G5 AND G5 plus.

SPECIFICATIONS (G5S)

  • Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
  • 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display.
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM.
  • 32GB of built-in storage,expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
  • 3000mAh battery and comes with a TurboPower feature.
  • Fingerprint scanner embedded in the front-mounted oval-shaped home button.
  • 16MP rear camera with PDAF, and a 5MP front camera with LED flash.
  • Water-repellent nano coating,(not water-resistant).

  •  5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at up to 2.0GHz
  • Two RAM/ storage options, i.e. 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage.
  • The storage is expandable upto 128GB
  • Fingerprint scanner embedded in the front with gesture recognition feature.
  • Dual-rear camera system,two 13MP rear cameras on the back with f/2.0 and dual LED flash.
  • The dual-rear camera can create ‘bokeh’ style images, where the background gets blurred and the object is in sharp focus. 
  • The front camera is 8MP and this one has LED flash on board.
  • Battery 3000 mAh 


UPGRADES DONE (G5S from G5)
  • Increased the display size, and the total on-board storage.
  • 16MP rear camera.
  • LARGER BATTERY.
G5S PLUS FROM G5 PLUS
  • 5.2-inch FHD display, and 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.
  • DUAL CAMERA SETUP.
  • 8 MP CAMERA AT THE FRONT

 AVAILABILITY AND PRICE
The phone is yet to be launched in India,but we expect the launch later this month.
Price in Euro are 
  • Moto G5S will cost 249 EUR (Rs 19,000)
  • G5S Plus will cost 299 EUR (Rs 22,000 )

OUR OPINION:-This is not a big upgrade from the previous smartphones.Only the camera department is made better which was previously good.
There seems to be no need to upgrade to the new ones unless you had not bought the Existing phones.
Those who were thinking to buy the G5 AND g5 PLUS in India should wait for the New S range of Smartphones from MOTO.
