MOBILE PHONES PRICES HIKED
As it was declared earlier that the GST(Goods and Service tax) on smartphones would be increased starting April 1 2020. And the same was implemented by the smartphone makers as well by increasing the rates of most of their smartphones starting today. The GST has been increased from 12% to 18% and that is a big hike. This has led to increase in the prices of some smartphones that were launched last month or before that.
It was an inevitable decision made by the smartphone manufacturers to hike the prices of their phones .
Because of the current situation we can expect the GST as well as the prices of most Electronic items to be hiked sooner or later.
